Rules- Has to be a new 2019/20/ 21 model year. price around $50K. I know there are the obvious AMG/S/Mxxx cars from the Germans but what about ones more relatively affordable?
My entry- Lincoln MKZ (yes they’re still making them in 2020)
3.0Twin turbo v6 400 HP/400 Lb-ft AWD

Not super sleeper, but evidently the new X3M runs the same 0-60 as a Track Hawk
Looks like any other X3 to me.....

Those are great cars but have horrific build quality. I should do an Oppo review one day, but my grandfather’s MKZ is not only quite quick but it has does way better and way flatter than you would expect. You sit very low too, enhancing the feeling of speed, but it has excellent visibility.

Tesla Model 3 Performance. Most people see it as just a small electric hippy car. 0-60 in 3.2., $55k before incentives (around $50k after incentives).

You really are starting to concern me.

This seems like it would be a comfortable sleeper. A little over budget at 61K.

There are a few model 3s in my area, see them quite often but every one of those are driven like Grandma going to church. I guess they’re more concerned with range. If I had one I’d punch it from every light just to experience the torque - until I reach the speed limit.

Is the Kia Stinger a sleeper?

I wouldn’t say that that. I know even several “non-car” folks who think it’s a sporty fast car even looking at the 2.0T model.
Now that 2021 Kia K5 GT, that would be a sleeper (Along with the Sonata N-Line)

I figured I’d get the low fruit out of the way. I also didn’t know how epxensive new RVs were.

I just realized it’s not new tho. There are absolutely no RV’s out there selling for 50K or less. Even the fords start at well over 50k new.

I looked at that. To get the Hybrid you have to go to the Grand Touring: $69,895

yeah, cheapest new RV found was 61k. The full size motorhomes all seem to start 200K new, at least.

Regular cab short bed trucks. They look like lowly work trucks, because they are, but the F-150 with the 5.0 still packs a 395 HP V8, the Ram 1500 with the 5.7 does the same. Both weigh in the 4,000 - 4,500 lb range, which is still a lot, but not a ton more than a lot of cars (ex. the MKZ comes in at 3, 900).
Sure, they’re pretty spartan but they’re also pretty damn quick.
